Yesterday, Kaoru Yosano slamsed Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama as "the king of tax evasion in the Heisei Era" at a budget committee in the House of Representatives .
He aimed at the target against ruling Democratic Party of Japan over its recent political funds scandals.

Today is the beginning of spring.

Today is the beginning of spring in the traditional Japanese calendar.
It snowed last night .
This mornig it's sticking.
But we couldn't make a snowman.

Now tradition has it if you put an egg on it’s end , the egg can stand on today.
But every time you do , an egg can stand on it’s end.
It need not a superstition but patience.

Today is the day before the calendrical beginning of spring.
In Japan we scatter parched beans.
We also eat the sardine and susi.
We pray for the welfare of the household and the health.
It is a traditional custom.

It’s in February from today.
Springtime will soon be here.
The weather is much more springlike than it was last month.
The ume trees blossom in February.
I want to go to see ume blossom.
